~~ Gold Swirls - Artwork

Gold Swirls by Lisa Kowalski

I love the simplicity of it and the colors of gray and gold. For some reason I'm liking gray so much more these days. I am starting to see gray everywhere in shelter magazines. Or else I'm just more attuned to it and notice it more.

~~ Finials by Robert Allen

There are many drapery hardware companies that carry run of the mill boring hardware and finials. Robert Allen has challenged themselves by coming up with a great collection of unusual and exciting finials!.

Bamboo from the Island Collection

~~ Wallpaper Again!

Osborne & Little wallpaper collections.

Cannock - from their Spring 2008 collection. Hip, purple and elegant all at the same time. Great for a bedroom.

Jonas - From a much earlier collection but I enjoy the geometrics and southwest influence.

Pap Plain - Just cozy and lovely. I'm not a big fan of red but this paired with the soft gray and purple/fuschia works.

Radnor - It's purple, silver and black!!! Bold and beautiful. :) I could see this in an entry way of an ultra modern apartment.

~~ Inspiration!

You are all wondering..... what the heck?

Well, this morning I took my son to the dentist for a cleaning (he has a cavity btw) and while waiting in the waiting room for his return so I could take him to school. I picked up a bridal magazine of which the name escapes me now.

Anyway, I tend to be inspired for window treatments by formal gowns. I love the detail that some bridal gown have and love to envision that detailing on a drape or top treatment.

The above beauty is from the Alfred Angelo website. The bodice is exquisite with the bead work and the top almost pleat like. I can see this as a cornice treatment in a very feminine bedroom.

This gown is from Eden Bridals website and I love the embroidery on the edges of the red. I could easily see this entire idea incorporated into a drape for a formal dining room.

This on is also from Eden Bridals. I like the horizontal pleating for the bodice and how the fabric drapes with one swag to reveal all that luscious fabric all gathered. The entire gown screams window treatment to me.

~~ Outer Limits

Cole Chair - Not a big fan of the leopard print but I really like the design of this chair.

Alvar Chair - This looks like it should be a rocker, doesn't it? I'm short so I like chairs that are closer to the ground.

Millennium Chair - Incredible fushia color and it looks cozy to me!

Outerlimits has very modern looking furniture some I like, some I enjoy looking at and some don't appeal at all....

~~ Pine Cone Hill

I received in the mail the other day a Market Square publication called Crave '08. Inside the brown zebra embossed cover :) are some incredible items and companies. Pine Cone Hill was just one that interested me. I love bedding and have yet to locate the perfect bedding for myself so I keep looking for inspiration. Stripes are about the only pattern I can say that I love others I like but stripes are my favorite so I picked out the above stripes for your viewing pleasure as well as mine!

Malibu Wave is the first pattern. Spinnaker then Starboard then Swizzle in Lime and last in Spice.

~~ Fabrics !!

Fabrics from the website of Greenhouse. After scanning through a bunch these stood out. The top one is called Domino, middle is Multi and bottom is called Vintage.

My favorite has to be Domino, I love the stark black on white but the stylized floral pattern isn't boring! Multi is definitely more traditional and the colors are fabulous. Vintage reminds me of a lazy summer cottage on a lake. I can just see this fabric as drapes and slip covers.

~~ Brocade Home Bedding!

Brocade Home is very selective in their styling and colors. I love the silvery pewter color which almost appears to be a very light lavender. The bedding in the first photo is called Abstract Floral Print - Truffle and the pillows are from the Silver/Truffle Collection. The pin tucks in the top pillow are so pretty.

Pierre Frey Assiette Dinner and Dessert Plates. They also come in what I would call French Blue.

Don't you just love the graphic patterns? Very bold yet so simple.

~~ Chairs by RJones

So pretty and I have a love for buttons in upholstery.

Elegant and again another button!

Even better, 3 buttons!

For a wingback chair this is very nice. Not a huge fan of wingback chairs but I do like this one.

I stumbled across this from a publication I received today in the mail. In Residence from The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. This particular collection of custom upholstered furniture can be found at Michael-Cleary, LLC, Suite 1822. Check out their website -- RJones

~~ Nantucket Windows Collection

Nantucket Windows, makes one really want summer and a beach house.

I had the pleasure of taking a course put on by Donna Elle of Nantucket Windows while attending a Window Coverings Expo in Tampa I believe. She is one energetic lady! Very engaging and completely fun. Check out her website!

~~ Beds from Western Interiors Magazine!

Valois Canopy bed done in Venetian silver leaf and antique mirror panels.

Niermann Weeks

Barbara Barry - Silver Screen bed in walnut and leather.

Barbara Barry Company

John Houshmand - Spalted maple

John Houshmand

What different types of beds! There were others on the Western Interiors website but these three I fell in love with for all different reasons. The Niermann Weeks Valois Canopy bed out of antique mirror panels is beyond romantic it's decadent! Barbara Barry's Silver Screen bed is quiet and refined but not boring, I surprised that it was out of walnut at first glance I thought maple. And the last bed by John Houshmand is so organic it's almost contemporary!
